A page can be indexed by Google and still appear for few of the searches you expected.
That gap is easier to diagnose once you separate SEO matching from ranking.

A well-focused page rarely corresponds to one search phrase.
Consider a page titled:

Its central query family might include:

- clean suede coat at home
Closely related searches could involve stain removal:
- remove oil stain from suede jacket
- remove water marks from suede

The same page could reasonably include sections about tools and aftercare:

- protecting suede after cleaning
These are not random semantic keywords added for SEO.
They are parts of the job the reader is trying to complete.
That distinction matters.
Creating ten near-identical pages for ten slight wording variations can split one subject across multiple URLs. A single page that fully answers the shared task is often a cleaner fit.
Know Where the Page Should Stop
Broad query coverage does not mean adding every related topic you can find.
A page about replacing a car battery does not become more relevant by adding long sections about engine oil, brake pads, tire rotation, insurance, and windshield repair.

Answer the actual request
A page targeting the cost of replacing a roof needs real cost information.
A long discussion of roofing materials, weather, contractors, and maintenance cannot substitute for the answer the searcher requested.
Where current prices, percentages, or market averages matter, use sourced figures rather than invented numbers.

A useful page about mortgage preapproval would naturally discuss subjects such as credit history, income, debt, lender requirements, loan amount, documentation, and interest rates.
Those terms should not appear because a keyword tool produced a list.

Specific vocabulary gives a page semantic depth that repetitive keyword use cannot.
Write substantial subsections
A narrow H2 can create a strong connection with a narrow query if the section actually answers it.
Headings are not decoration.
A useful subsection should contain enough information that a reader landing near that section does not immediately need another search.
Use descriptive internal links
Internal links give Google context about how pages on a site relate.
An anchor such as cleaning a burr coffee grinder says more about the destination than read more.

Google Search Console gives you site-specific evidence of the queries connected with a page.
